Making Connections Happen.

The British Columbia Council for International Cooperation (BCCIC) and Engineers Without Borders (EWB) would like to invite you to International Development Drinks on June 2nd 2011 at the Blarneystone Pub in the heart of Gastown.

This evening will provide an opportunity to connect with all major NGOs that are operating in Vancouver. Additionally, we will be hosting returned overseas volunteers, graduate students, professors, members of CIDA, and young social entrepreneurs. Please join us for a night of networking, socializing and discussion.

Keynote Presenter: Ajay Masala Puri, founder, Coop Culture

Ajay Puri is an advocate for environmental sustainability and social justice both online and offline. Over the last several years he has co-founded and continues to lead many social movements including: RangiChangi Roots, Canadians For Obama, Bridge to a Cool Planet and East Of Main. Ajay was acknowledged for his commitment and passion for community building as one of Canada's top five volunteers in CBC's 2010 Champions of Change contest.

Keynote Presenter: Daniela Papi, founding director, PEPY

Daniela Papi is the director and founder of a hybrid social venture, PEPY working in rural Cambodia. PEPY's tagline "Adventurous Living, Responsible Giving" highlights the dual mission of the organisation: to offer tours that expose travellers to development issues and empower them to become more educated donors and to fund and implement development programmes that improve access to quality education in rural Cambodia.

Our March event featured an attendance of over 100 guests. To view photos from that evening, check out our photo album. After you have registered, join our International Development Drinks fan page.
